Halter selected as new Billings School Trustee

BILLINGS - The Billings School Board has selected Billings businessman Allen Halter to serve the district as a school board trustee.

Halter, a Billings West High School parent and booster president, got seven votes to represent northwest Billings.

With a majority vote, Halter was sworn in as the zone 6 Trustee.

A total of six people applied for the vacant seat.

Chair Teresa Stroebe says the board is thankful that so many well-qualified people applied for the position.

Halter will now serve the remaining term of former Chair Barbara Bryan'a position, which lasts until May.
