MISSOULA - Montana quickly put last week's loss behind them, as the Grizzlies scored 24 unanswered points in the 1st half on their way to a 34-14 win over Liberty Saturday afternoon at Washington-Grizzly stadium.

Peter Nguyen opened the scoring with a 90-yard punt return for a touchdown late in the 1st quarter, and Dan Moore scored for the third straight game on a 32-yard TD run in the 2nd quarter that gave the Griz a 14-0 lead. Moore ended up with 92 rushing yards.

Trent McKinney only passed for 95 yards, but threw a touchdown to Greg Hardy and also ran for a 6-yard touchdown late in the 2nd quarter, which turned out to be the game winner.

Montana is now 2-1 on the season, and begins conference play next Saturday at home against Northern Arizona. The homecoming game is schedule to kickoff at 1:30 pm.
