UPDATE: University of Montana Interim AD Jean Gee confirms that Johnson has been suspended from the football team indefinitely. This follows the UM Student Code of Conduct policy, which says any student that is charged with a felony is automatically suspended from university athletics.

MISSOULA - Griz football quarterback Jordan Johnson was charged today in Missoula County Court for sexual intercourse without consent, according to a county attorney press release.

A University of Montana student reported to police that on Feb. 4, Johnson came over to her house to watch a movie.

The woman told police Johnson turned "from playful to aggressive," and raped her, according to the charging documents.

Johnson's first court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 14.
