GREAT FALLS - Brooklynn Eskew, the six month old girl airlifted to a hospital in Spokane, Washington, on Tuesday night due to injuries sustained after her mother allegedly shook her, has died.

Cascade County Attorney John Parker said the girl's life was terminated around 6:30 Thursday night, meaning new charges for the mother, Jasmine Eskew.

Eskew was charged with felony criminal endangerment and felony aggravated assault during her initial court appearance on Wednesday.

Now that her daughter has died, Parker said the charges will be amended to deliberate homicide.

The incident happened Tuesday night, and the child's life has been prolonged on life support for medical analysis.

Two Great Falls detectives are currently in Spokane, and are expected to be present during the infant's autopsy.
