BILLINGS - Governor Brian Schweitzer is in the headlines for his stance on importing prescription drugs from Canada.

Governor Schweitzer appeared on FOX NEWS Saturday morning talking about health care reform. He said while he supports the healthcare act, he sees the need to reform medical expenses. Recently, the governor sent a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, asking for a Medicaid waiver to allow prescription drugs from Canada to Montana.

Schweitzer says by importing medication from our northern neighbors, the state could save up to $40 million.
