Cold air will bring the potential for a White Christmas across much of the area. Snow is expected Sunday through Christmas morning. Accumulations will be 2 to 4 inches across the lower elevations, 5 to 10 inches in the Beartooths and Absarokas, and 3 to 6 inches in the Northeast Big Horns. The best time for accumulating snow will be Monday through Monday night. Temperatures will fall into the teens on Monday, and will be in the single digits to lower teens Christmas Day. Snow-packed roads and cold temperatures will make holiday travel hazardous. Have an emergency kit in your vehicle to survive cold temperatures should you become stranded.
