5 children suffer burns in Heights apartment fire

BILLINGS - A toddler was rushed to St. Vincent Healthcare with serious burn injuries Wednesday morning.

Four other children between the ages of two and seven were also transported to a local hospital with minor burns after an apartment fire at 1381 Easy Street in the Billings Heights.

Billings Police Lt. Mark Cady said that five children in the apartment were possibly playing with matches before the fire broke out burning the children.

The fire was quickly doused and contained to one apartment unit.

The Billings Fire Marshal's office is investigating the blaze.
