Fires burning on Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Ashland evacuated

ROSEBUD COUNTY - Two fires are burning in southeast Montana, near the town of Ashland, on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation.

An evacuation order was issued overnight for the town of Ashland and its surrounding area by the Rosebud County Sheriff's Office.

More than 800 people live in Ashland.

Nothing has been confirmed by authorities, but there have been reports of several homes lost.

A power outage has been reported from Ashland to Broadus.
