EMIGRANT - A small fire burning within a few miles of Chico Hot Springs was quickly put out by volunteer firefighters Tuesday night.
The fire was first spotted around 10pm Tuesday, and within an hour crews had it under control.
The Park County Sheriff's office confirms that the fire is out.
The flames burning on a ridge top were visible for several miles across the Paradise Valley.
The front desk clerk at Chico Hot Springs told Q2 News that fire was "in hand", crediting the quick response by local volunteers.
No estimate yet on the size of the fire, and no evacuations were necessary.
