Fire blazes Roundup sawmill structure

BILLINGS - Firefighters in Musselshell County are on the scene of a fire at a well-known sawmill plant. Musselshell County Volunteer Fire Chief Ryan McCleary tells Q2 one structure has been completely destroyed at Gebhardt's Plant and Sawmill. He says they are mopping up a fire in another structure.

The property is located just off Highway 12 near Roundup. We're told the sawmill is owned by Kelly Gebhardt, the former State Senator from Roundup. Fire Chief McCleary says the main business building was destroyed and holds a lot of the company's machinery. McCleary says at this time, it is unknown how the fire started.

Fire Crews from Roundup, Musselshell, Bull Mountain and Dean Creek are all on hand to help mop up the fire.
