MISSOULA - A former University of Montana football player pleaded guilty to rape Tuesday morning in Missoula District court.
Beau Donaldson, a former running back for the Grizzlies, pleaded guilty to raping a woman in September of 2010, while she was sleeping at his house after a party.
During the investigation, Missoula Police detectives monitored a phone call between the victim and Donaldson, where Donaldson admitted taking advantage of her.
He apologized to the woman and attributed the act to a drinking problem and pain medication. Donaldson will be sentenced November 13th.
