BILLINGS- With school back in session, it's important to remember traffic laws designed to keep kids safe.
The Billings Police Department reports dozens of drivers were charged in Billings last year with passing a stopped school bus.
Bus drivers can report violators by filling out a form and submitting it to the police department.
One local bus driver says too many people are blowing past school buses, endangering the children.
"I wrote up 40 people last year, went to court three times. This year I've already written up two people. Some kid is going to get run over one of these days, and then what are they going to do. They're going to spend their life in jail," First Student bus driver Ken Carlson said.
Failing to stop for a bus holds a $110 dollar fine for the first offense.
