MISSOULA - A young athlete dies of sudden cardiac arrest every three or four days in the United States. There are usually no warning signs, and it is almost always from a completely unsuspected heart disorder.
Dr. Brad Pickhardt talked with pediatrician, Dr Kathy Rogers to learn how we can help to prevent the deaths.
While an EKG is not the whole solution to the problem, parents of student athletes need to be aware of sudden cardiac death and what can be done to protect kids from becoming victims.
