BILLINGS - For more than a year now, Bike Patrol Officer Shane Winden has been manning the streets of downtown Billings.

His position was part of a three year pilot program established by the Downtown Billings Association and funded by tax increment finance dollars.

"It's made a huge difference," said Downtown Billings Association Executive Director Lisa Harmon.

Thanks downtown businesses and a stamp of approval from the Billings City Council, Officer Winden will soon get a partner.
