CODY, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming's congressional delegation is urging
Cody residents to attend a meeting to comment on the National Park
Service's development of winter use guidelines for Yellowstone
National Park.
The Park Service has scheduled events at noon and 6:30 Monday at
the Cody Club Room as part of its preparation of a Yellowstone
winter use plan.
U.S. Sens. Mike Enzi and John Barrasso and Rep. Cynthia Lummis
say it's important for Cody residents to get involved because of
the community's economic interest in the park's east entrance. They
say they asked the Park Service to hold a meeting in Cody.
On Monday, Yellowstone Superintendent Suzanne Lewis will present
a new Winter Use Environmental Impact Statement and there will be
an open house.
