HELENA - No decision yet in the case of the disputed half million dollar campaign contribution to republican governor candidate Rick Hill.

The decision rests with Helena District Judge Kathy Seeley, who heard arguments in the case Monday morning.

Democrat governor nominee Steve Bullock is asking the court to stop Hill from spending the $500-thousand dollars dollars he received from the state Republican party.

Hill accepted the donation, after a federal judge struck down Montana's campaign contribution law.

Six days later, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals granted a stay, keeping Montana's contribution limits on the books - at least for this election season.

Bullock maintains that action by the court makes Hill's GOP donation "illegal".

Judge Seeley is expected to issue her ruling on Wednesday.
