Daines endorsed by U.S. Chamber of Commerce

LOCKWOOD - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Steve Daines on Monday afternoon.

That announcement was made in Lockwood at the Montana Peterbilt trucking facility.

Chamber officials said Peterbilt is a good example of a company that provides Montana jobs which is a major theme of the Daines campaign.

When asked if new democratic candidate Amanda Curtis was given any consideration, the chamber said her policies don't fit those of their federation.

"Everybody gets a fair shot, I would say," said U.S. Chamber Senior Vice President Rob Engstrom. "And I can tell you that not a single member of the Chamber of Commerce reached out on her behalf."

Amanda Curtis has been endorsed by the MEA-MFT which is the state's largest union and Democracy for America, a national Vermont based PAC.
