BILLINGS - The skies near Roundup are filled with smoke Wednesday night as the Dahl fire continues to burn out of control.
Evacuation notices are expanded to include residents living along Majerus Road. Also, residents on Tumbleweed Road are on pre-evacuation notice. Both of those areas are along the southeast portion of the fire.
Despite the increased activity, fire managers report no "significant fire runs" on the Dahl fire Wednesday. Fire officials now say the Dahl Fire is at 18,751 acres in size.
There is no containment on the fire. The blaze sparked Tuesday afternoon.
There's still no confirmed numbers on how many homes have been lost to the flames. Musselshell County Commissioner Larry Lexse tells Q2 those numbers should be available Thursday night once ground assesment crews have been able to complete their work.
