CROW AGENCY - The Emergency Task Force for Crow Agency voiced concerns regarding a "Winter Challenge" on the social media site Facebook.
According to ICP Spokesman Ben Cloud, the challenge has people "jumping into rivers and creeks."
The update urged people to recognize the Little Big Horn River is still dangerous with ice jams, swift waters, and other debris that may not be visible.
The Little Big Horn still has significant ice jams posing risk. Areas identified to experience trouble are Second Bridge, Whistling Water Loop, also known as Real Bird Loop, and the Lodge Grass Bridge.
Ice jams are still developing at Sarpy Bridge.
The U.S. Army of Corps Engineers assisted the Crow Tribe DES in the assessment to relieve ice jams.
Homes were evacuated over the weekend due to rising water, according to Cloud. However, little damage to personal property has been reported as of Tuesday.
DES continues to protect area water treatment plants and sewage lagoons from becoming damaged.
