A fire in Rochester basin near Melrose, has burned 10 acres and is 20 percent contained.
The state has called for assistance from one helicopter, a 20 person hand-crew and one forest service fire engine according to Public Affairs Officer, Leona Roderick.
Roderick describes the fire as long and thin and says it is burning through grass, sage brush and some trees.
The incident commander says it is about a mile hike to reach the head of the fire.
The fire was reported Sunday evening.
