Contamination scare leaves Eureka without water for days

EUREKA- Eureka has been having a series of troubles with their water supply and this week they were asked not to use any water for fear of contamination after people were seen on top of the water tank.

On Monday evening someone living near the new water tank saw people on top of the tank and called it into authorities. The tank was immediately shut off for fear of spreading contaminated water to Eureka residents.

To prevent any sickness the town was instructed to not use any water. The water was tested twice and by Thursday morning the results showed the water was fine.

City officials held a meeting Friday to decide whether or not to pursue who may have caused the disruption of service to be held accountable.
