BILLINGS - The community also came out to support today for a US Navy SEAL, wounded in Afghanistan this summer, and recovering at the Walter Reed Medical Center in Maryland.
Hundreds came out for the benefit concert and barbecue at ZooMontana.
An improvised explosive device injured Lockwood native Bo Reichenbach on July 17th, and he lost both his legs.
The fundraiser would help pay for an elevator for Bo's home.
He faces at least a year of rehabilitation and is now agreeable to the help from the fundraiser.
"It's overwhelming, " said Crystal Reichenbach, Bo's mother. "You know Bo is a very proud person. He would never ask for help. But he is starting to come to the realization that life is going to be tough and he said whatever anybody wants to do to help me, I would appreciate it."
"We just wanted to kind of rally the community together," said George Blackard, commander of the American Legion Andrew Pearson Post 117. "Let him know that we all appreciate what he's done, the sacrifices he's made and the community's here for him."
Bo's father Don is staying with him in in Maryland.
