BILLINGS - The Montana Family Foundation held Chik-fil-A Appreciation Day, as part of its rally in support of traditional families, in the Emmanuel Baptist Church parking lot.
Several groups have spoken against Chik-fil-A, after the company's president and COO Dan Cathy stated, when asked in an interview, he favors traditional marriage.
The national events have spurred two rallies in Billings, on Saturday.
The Montana Family Foundation changed its menu after Chik-fil- A decided the quality of its food would decrease by shipping it so far from Idaho to Billings.
So event became more of chance for the foundation to update its members and others on issues and to get out a message today.
Down the street near Shiloh road and King Avenue West, the Amercian Civil Liberties Union and several groups held a rally with chicken sandwiches from the Pita Pit, in response to the Montana Family Foundation.
About 10 from the ACLU rally protested at the Montana Family Foundation event.
