BILLINGS- A man is in the hospital Saturday night after crashing through the median, tension cables and colliding head-on with a tractor trailer in the oncoming lanes of traffic of Interstate 90 in Laurel.
The Montana Highway Patrol says 33-year-old Mac Cooper of Busby was driving a 2000 Ford Windstar around mile marker 434 near Laurel when he over corrected and went into a slide in the westbound lane of the interstate and collided with the trailer.
The Montana Highway Patrol says Cooper was not responsive upon their arrival, and he sustained serious injuries in the crash.
No one else was injured in the crash.
Cooper was air lifted by Help Flight to St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.
His condition is unknown.
Montana Highway Patrol says alcohol was a factor in the crash.
