BILLINGS - City and county officials ordered a prohibition against burning Wednesday due to high winds.
Winds are expected to reach 40 mph or more during the day.
"We will reevaluate this tomorrow and either extend the burning prohibition or rescind it based on the forecast," said Duane Winslow, the Yellowstone County director of emergency services.
Billings Fire Marshal Mike Spini said the city also ordered a prohibition against burning Wednesday morning.
