Bullock to name Montana Adjutant General as running mate

HELENA - Montana Attorney General Steve Bullock is set to announce his running mate Thursday morning as he seeks the democratic nomination for Governor.

Several sources tell Q2 news that Bullock will tab Brigadier General John E. Walsh to team up with him for the upcoming run for Montana Governor and Lieutenant Governor.

Walsh is the current Adjutant General for Montana, Commander of the Montana National Guard, and the director of the state Department of Military Affairs.

Walsh has served at the state's Adjutant General since September of 2008.

Bullock will introduce Walsh at a Thursday press conference at the Great Falls International Airport.
