The suspect killed, a white 29-year-old male, has yet to be identified.
According to Billings Police Chief Rich St. John, the suspect was killed after being shot by Officer Dave Punt while trying to escape from police in a BPD cruiser on Miles Avenue-an incident which followed a three hour long standoff on Sunday afternoon.
