BILLINGS - Sellers of recreational vehicles, boats and four wheelers say sales have been good even with a slower economy.
The 14th annual RV and Boat Show brought in more people than last year's 12,000.
Pierce RV and Tour America put on the show at the MetraPark Expo Center, and added two more dealers for a total of 14.
Dealers say many find a way to make these purchases for their families.
"Our economy didn't get hit quite as hard as some areas of the country," said Dean Benjamin, sales manager at Pierce RV. "Montanans are going to have some fun anyway."
"I don't sell boats I sell fun," said Ron Reiter, owner of Reiter's Marina. " They can go out there, they can ski, they can cruise, they can fish, relax. Our store's a fun store, it isn't a boat store."
Dealers say sales have not dropped as much in Montana with some buying Rv's, boats and four-wheelers instead of on a vacation trip.
