Billings woman stabs husband in the chest

BILLINGS- A woman is in jail tonight after allegedly stabbing her husband in the chest.

The Billings Police Department responded to 3513 1/2 Montana Avenue shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday night and discovered a 35 year-old Billings man who had been stabbed in the chest.

Billings Police Sergeant Neil Lawrence says that during the investigation, officers learned the man was stabbed by his wife, 36-year-old Cecilia Kennedy.

Kennedy is being held at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility on charges of Assault with a weapon, Partner/ Family member Assault and Tampering with evidence.

The victim was transported to St. Vincent's Healthcare in Billings by ambulance.

His condition remains unknown at this time.
