Billings police search for suspect caught on tape

BILLINGS - The Billings Police Department is asking the public to help identify a man suspected of breaking into a car and stealing credit cards found inside the vehicle.

According to a Billings Police Department media release, the unknown suspect or suspects broke into a vehicle in a parking lot located at 24th Street West and Broadwater Avenue on August 20. A short time later the man seen on the attached video was caught on tape using a female victim's credit card at a number of locations.

The suspect is a male, possibly Hispanic, in his early 30's with very short hair and some facial hair. He is further described as being of average height and build with a tattoo on his right forearm.

The suspect's vehicle is a dark blue and silver Chevy 1/2 ton extended cab Z71 pickup truck. The truck features tinted windows, a fabric tonneau cover, and hood scoops on the front end.
