BILLINGS - There was little doubt Billings City Council would approve Missoula contruction company Jackson Contractor Group for the construction of the new Parmly Billings Library.
Monday evening, the council unanimously voted to approve and move forward with Jackson Contractor Group.
City council received numerous contract proposals. Mayor Tom Hanel said all proposals were extremely well detailed but ultimately it was the lowest dollar amount needed that made Jackson fit for the job.
Costs for the project exceed 15 million dollars and that includes the dmolition of the existing library structure.
The new 65,000 square foot, two-level library is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2013.
