BILLINGS - Celebrating 100 years, Catholic education in Billings is looking back and looking ahead.
Billings Catholic school supporters gathered tonight at the Crowne Plaza to celebrate vision and value of a Christ-centered education.
With the current enrollment of over 1,000 students, over 90% go on to secondary education, a statistic they take great pride in.
At the century mark, they are updating equipment to give their students the best hands-on learning environment. The MC of the evening, Bernie Harrington, explained that "the focus is that we're coming together as a school system, and we're looking forward to the next 100 years. We have a great progressive system. This summer we're upgrading all the technology in all of our buildings. We're going to have promethean white boards. It's a great teaching tool; it's kind of the chalk board of the twenty-first century."
The reminiscing will only last one night as they are already focusing on how they can make the next 100 years even better.
