While Billings had heavy rain early in the week the Beartooth Pass had heavy snow. In some places 3 to 5 inches of snow fell. This has prompted the Wyoming Department of Transportation to close the Pass at the Wyoming state Line. Authorities have plowed the road in Wyoming and reopened the pass at the state line. However a new storm is moving into the region Sunday and Monday. The Billings National Weather Service is forecasting accumulating snow late in the long holiday weekend. The road could close again Sunday night into Monday.
