Baltimore Ravens top San Francisco to win Super Bowl

NEW ORLEANS - The Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco Forty-Niners and won the 2013 Super Bowl.

The final score was 34-31.

In addition to the excitement of the NFL championship game, including a grab-bag of big-dollar advertisements and a halftime show featuring pop singer Beyonce, fans also experienced something unique: a power outage that lasted nearly 35 minutes during the third quarter.

Joe Flacco was named MVP of the game.
