BILLINGS - A Bainville negligent homicide suspect has waived his right to fight extradition back to Montana.
Charles Bowen appeared in Williams County, North Dakota District Court Monday afternoon. He waived his right to fight extradition from North Dakota to Montana.
Bowen has been in jail since Jan. 27 after being arrested in the North Dakota oil fields. Both Bowen and the victim, Brian Doyle, worked in the oil fields. They are also both from Florida.
Investigators say Doyle was killed after being run over by a vehicle. Authorities believe Bowen was the driver of that vehicle. Doyle's body was found Jan. 20 in a ditch.
The Roosevelt County Attorney's Office has declined to comment on when Bowen will be brought back to Montana to face charges.
