ROUNDUP - Fire lines held overnight at the lightning-sparked Allen Fire that is burning in Musselshell County.
The fire is currently 350 acres in size and 20 percent contained. It started on Monday.
"The perimeter areas where the fire burned in grasses and finer fuels look great," said Derek Yeager with the Montana DNRC. Firefighters will focus today on some pockets of heavy fuels within the fire boundary. The red flag warning for gusty winds and low humidity is still in effect for Musselshell County until midnight tonight.
Local landowners, ranchers and homeowners have been helping in the effort. "They've been really great to work with, and they've helped us tremendously," he said.
