Alleged sex offender arrested in Billings by U.S Marshals

Members of the U.S. Marshals office in Billings have arrested a man wanted in Missouri on several sexual offenses. United States Marshal Darrell Bell today announced the arrest of 46 year old Kevin Fisher during the early evening hours of February 10, 2011 by members of the U.S. Marshals Montana Violent Offender Task Force.

Yesterday, members of the U.S. Marshals Southwest Missouri Fugitive Task Force contacted the Montana office and requested assistance in apprehending Fisher, who was believed to be in the Billings area. Task force officers pursued several leads and eventually confirmed that Fisher was residing at the Vegas Hotel located at 3314 1st Ave. North, Billings, MT. Fisher was taken into custody at this location without incident.

The felony warrant was issued on January 22, 2010 in the 31st Judicial Circuit Court in Greene County, Missouri. Fisher is charged with several counts of Sodomy wherein the victim was less than 14 years old. He is currently incarcerated at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility. Bond is set at $30,000.

U.S. Marshal Darrell Bell stated "as soon as the U.S. Marshals office in Missouri alerted us that this fugitive may be in Billings we immediately made this case our top priority. We will continue to send the message that Montana is not a good place to hide if you are a fugitive from justice."
