CODY, WY - One week after the abduction of an 11-year-old Cody girl, law enforcement in Wyoming have announced the arrest of a suspect.
According to authorities, a man was arrested Sunday in Belgrade in connection with the abduction case. The man has not been identified by law enforcement, but the Gallatin County Detention Center roster lists a man by the name of Jesse Paul Speer being held on a $2 million bond for law enforcement from the State of Wyoming.
On Monday, Oct. 8 the girl was abducted by a man who enticed her into his vehicle by asking her to help him search for his puppy. She was later found and reunited with her family.
A 10 a.m. press conference is set to take place at Cody City Hall. We will provide the latest information as it develops.
