1 dead, 1 critical after western Montana home invasion

One person is dead, another is hospitalized in critical condition, and a man is behind bars after a Thursday evening home invasion near Dixon.

Sanders County Sheriff Tom Rummel says that Sanders County and Lake County deputies, along with tribal police, responded to a home in the Dixon area just before 8 p.m.

The sheriff says in a news release that Nathan Lee William Calvert is being held at the Sanders County jail as investigators piece together exactly what happened.

Rummel says one person died in the incident, and another person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Authorities have not yet released their names.
