Oil keeps sliding: Down 9% in 5 days

Oil prices extended their slide Tuesday, shedding 1% amid renewed concerns about Europe and the global economy.

Prices for U.S. crude have declined nearly 9% over the past five days, settling at $97.01 a barrel Tuesday. Oil prices have slipped about 6% from the start of the year.
